When I was younger, I was afraid of many things. Somehow I came to a conclusion that life is not my friend. I thought of it as a dangerous and demanding place.
It is amazing how a child can develop a system of beliefs during the process of growing up. What influenced me so much? Was it my parents, teachers, people around me and their fears?
Life can be painful
Life can be painful sometimes, we can get hurt, we learn, we grow – or we give up and become bitter. One thing is certain, we can’t stop the perpetual change that flows into every area of our lives.
I always felt there can be something better in life, so I continued dreaming of my life to be a better one. I believe that each of us goes through phases in life that we need a change. Step up to the next level kind of thing.
That strong desire was my driving force, thanks to which I moved forward. It’s amazing, when I look back, all that suffering made me stronger, more self-confident and helped me to recognise fears and also my talents.
What makes difference between staying in life that feels like a hell, versus a life that pursues happiness and all the best life has to offer? How much has one to take that will force him to change?
Desire is the key
The main ingredient is desire, we need to know what we want. For me, it was something better than what I had. So I realised what I don’t want. Overcoming fear and taking action towards that dream. Not caring what other people think of me helped me to be happier, not needing nobody’s approval.
Planning, reviewing and acting is necessary! Dream big!
Let me share what helped me to move forward towards my dream life.
Learning – reading books (inspirational, philosophical, personal development, spiritual, nutrition, exercise)
Saying goodbye to my negative friends! Like, attracts like. There is no space for someone ruining your pristine peace of mind. Some people just look for a drama.
Develop relationships with people that inspire you, that make you feel good and worthy because you are! Hang around with people who are a step ahead of you. To be liked by those people you need to constantly work on your personal development. Build your own unique personality, humour, knowledge and integrity. Keep your word! If you are busy don’t promise meetings, it’ll only hurt your reputation.
Taking action – knowing is not enough. Just do it! The first step, no matter how big. Momentum with small successes will give you energy and motivation to do a bigger one.
Finding your life’s purpose and talents. Keep looking and stay creative. This should feel fulfilling and meaningful.
The attitude of gratitude and contribution. When you give, you position yourself to receive. Energy is never lost, just transformed. Give the best you have, help enough people to get what they want and you will have all you want. The world is on your side!
When I had a desire to change my life, the web of actions/coincidences started to happen. Not all of them pleasant, at first, but necessary to let go of my older ego.
Change can be painful
Change can be painful, especially when we hold onto the old and fearing the unknown. What we fear the most is usually what we most need to do. Our resistance to change causes us to experience stress, tension and discomfort. For example, depression is the pressure for a change. Strong pressure creates a strong desire and determination, and thanks to that we can develop new skills or shift to a new life. Without the struggle and pain, we would be comfortable and we would not improve.
The key is to build a personal power, regaining one’s life energy. Letting go of a victim attitude and becoming the powerful creator, unique and highly favourite and supported by life.
If you want to change your outer world you must first change the inner world. The way you think and feel. Decide what you want in life, push that motivation to the maximum and keep taking massive dedicated actions towards your dream life. If it was easy, it wouldn’t be worthy. It was meant to be hard. This shapes your character and you become who you are (meant to be)!
Always do your best. Forgive everyone for whatever they did to you, forgive yourself for whatever you have done. Develop self-care, loving attitude toward yourself. When you feel good you will attract better things to you. Law of the universe.
Wishing you all the best.
