Oto Winkler has a lifelong passion for sports and fitness. With over a decade of experience and knowledge-building in personal fitness, he will achieve your fitness and lifestyle goals.
He is qualified as personal trainer, nutrition consultant and fitness instructor and has life-long interest in chemistry-pharmacology and this has fuelled his passion for nutrition. From his work with thousands of clients in the leading sports clubs in Dublin he has numerous qualifications in fitness and strength building.
His energy and commitment to his client’s fitness goals drives him forward in motivating and supporting them to a healthier and more productive lifestyle. Oto engages with his clients on a one-to-one basis and runs group fitness sessions, seminars and workshops on healthy living, weight loss and exercise.
He is dedicated to pursuing his own personal development, living life to the fullest, having fun and also helping others in achieving their lifestyle goals.

As a 58 year old male who was a late convert to cycling, I was interested in building strength in order to improve my performance in the hills. I was not overweight and had always felt reasonably fit. I approached Oto Winkler in Westwood Sandymount and committed myself to 10 sessions of one hour each.
He took one look at me and knew that I did not need, nor could I really achieve, true strength increase due to my current condition. And what was that condition? I lacked all flexibility, elasticity and stabilisation. He introduced me to floor exercises and stretching routines that I found deeply embarrassing and extremely difficult to do. During many of them I would literally be whimpering in pain and discomfort but I knew that he was right in what he had planned for me.
What I needed was a routine that would benefit my life, not just my performance during cycling. In achieving this, with these exercises, I was naturally building strength and flexibility thereby getting ready to achieve my original goal. He gradually introduced free-weight and core strengthening exercises which offered variety and challenge.
The 10 sessions are over now and I cannot believe the change that has occurred in my body over the last 3 months. My flexibility has improved beyond recognition, my body has responded and I am now in better shape than I have been since my 20s. The intangible benefits of higher energy levels, self confidence and having a positive interest and activity to counter a busy work schedule are just as important.
I have signed on for another 10 sessions of 45 minutes to consolidate and progress.
